Travel with your pet (Dog and Cat) to Dubai

For pet travel from high rabies countries like India to Dubai, it is important to follow the guidelines provided by the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE).  This includes obtaining an import permit, Vet Checks, Rabies titer test,  microchip, vaccinations and health certificates.

To take a pet from a high rabies country to Dubai, UAE, follow these steps:

• Microchip Your Pet: Pet has to be microchipped with 15 Digit ISO approved Microchip for identification.
• Vaccination: Vaccinate your pet against rabies and DHPPiL minimum 30 days before the travel date with maximum validity of one year.
• Rabies Antibody Test: Rabies antibody titration test is mandatory for pets to enter Dubai with a minimum result of 0.5 IU/ml.
• Health Certificate: Get a health certificate issued by competent veterinary authorities.
• Import Permit: Apply an import permit from the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment online application. It is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. https://www.moccae.gov.ae/en/services/export-import-services/import-permit-pets.aspx
• Flight Booking: Pets are allowed to enter in Dubai only as Manifest cargo
• Export Permit: Animal quarantine and certification services ( AQCS) provides International health certificates and endorse the UAE health certificate for a pet dog and cat traveling to Dubai , UAE health certificate is valid for 5 days only. Know more about it here..
